Monday 22nd February 2010 – Categories

This is a good game for revising groups of vocabulary items with your students. Divide your class into small groups and ask them to write down four categories e.g. countries, food and drink, sport and animals. Then give them an initial letter and the first group to find a word beginning with that letter for each lexical category scores a point. e.g., if the letter was A, the answers for the above groups could be America, apple, aerobics and anaconda.
